The head of the Turkish Trabzonspor, Arseniy Batagov, could be the next big transfer of Ukrainian football to the top European championship.
As Turkish journalist Elis Buse Arash reports, Lisbon's Benfica has officially entered into the negotiation process to sign a contract with the Ukrainian. In contrast to many other clubs that were less interested in the grave, Benfica moved to specific actions.
It appears that the eagle community has already begun an official dialogue. For the Lisbon club, which is famous for its excellence in developing talents for further resale in the Premier League and La Liga, 23-river Batagov looks like a promising investment in the defensive line.
Previously, the media actively discussed the interest of Batagov on the side of the Italian Napoli. The Italians relied on the Ukrainians to strengthen their dry redoubt, but, in addition, the Portuguese themselves acted more decisively.
The move to Benfica could be an ideal springboard for Arseniy, the team’s fighting style and successful confirmation of the Ukrainians’ presence in Portugal (Zokrema, Anatoly Trubina, who has already become a key leader of the Lisboners).
Batagov, who recently turned 23 years old, has already begun to establish himself as a current center back with a good first pass and a high level of game intelligence.
This season, Arseniy won most of the championship games for Trabzon and recorded two assists. Transfermarkt values \u200b\u200bthe defender at 9 million euros. Contract with the insurance club until summer 2028.
