An-Nasr, for which Cristiano Ronaldo stands, is again at the center of the scandal.
FIFA has officially included the second champion of Saudi Arabia to the list of clubs that are restricted from registering new players. The latest update appeared in the official register of the organization on Friday, April 19, 2025.
This is not the first episode, since the club from Er-Riyadh is being destroyed under the sanctions of the football authorities. A similar situation arose in 2023, just after the arrival of Ronaldo. This was due to the fact that they were in front of the English Leicester City for the transfer of Ahmed Musi, which was already announced in 2018. So the problem came to a head - after paying close to 2 million euros, FIFA lifted the ban.
Although the official reason for this ban is not disclosed in detail, experts agree that we are once again talking about financial obligations to other clubs and teams.
For An-Nasr, this ban is a serious setback, as the team is fighting hard for leadership in the championship and achieving success in the Asian Champions League.
While the defense is in force, any negotiations with potential mirror reinforcements do not have any legal meaning, and it will be impossible to register them for participation in official matches.
