The leadership of the French Strasbourg officially supported its captain and key striker Emmanuel Emegha ahead of the upcoming Ligue 1 match against Toulouse. The reason for the harsh decision was the lack of respect for the club’s values.

The 22-year-old Dutchman, who in 2026 may arrive in London's Chelsea, stirred up a storm of excitement among fans and ceremonies with his recent interview.

In cooperation with Algemeen Dagblad, during the hour of the international break, Emegha admitted that before moving to Strasbourg, he didn’t know where the place was, and kindly noted that the club was based in Niemeccina.

These words are taken as a sign of ignorance to the history and identity of the Alsatian club.

Strasbourg fans have long been protesting against the policies of the BlueCo consortium, which is also the leader of Chelsea, respecting their club as a farm for Londoners.

Previously, banners appeared in the stands calling Emegha “BlueCo’s prick” and trying to take away the captain’s armband..

The club issued a short statement on the side effects:.

" Emmanuel will lose an important part of the team, unless reintegrated before the end of the match."

This season, the Dutchman won 7 matches against Lisa 1, scoring 4 goals and providing 2 assists.
