Manchester United are considering the possibility of signing Wolverhampton center Joao Gomez before the winter transfer window.
As Record reports, the Brazilian midfielder has become one of the leading candidates to strengthen Ruben Amorim's team in the midline.
24-year-old Gomez is considered an affordable alternative to Carlos Baleba from Brighton and Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest, a transfer of which looks financially beneficial for Manchester United. The Portuguese coach will place emphasis on the center of the field, and the Brazilian will finish at the top of the list.
Looking at Wolverhampton's possible exit from the Premier League, Gomez does not exclude the option of moving to Old Trafford.
According to Gerel, Manchester United could pay close to 50 million euros for the transfer of the Brazilian national team player.
Joao Gomez joins Wolverhampton from 2023 after transferring from Flamengo for 18.7 million euros. This season he played 14 matches for the club and recorded one assist.
