In his final interview with The Guardian, 31-year-old Barcelona and Everton winger Gerard Deulofeu shared how to follow his powerful words, “perhaps the most important innovation in the history of football,” trying to turn around after. The Spaniard did not take the field in the official match since 2023.

The career of the talented Gravian stopped under threat due to a serious knee injury, which ended in death. During the hour of the operation, the footballer’s body suffered from an infection, which destroyed the cartilage and put an end to the fluid rotation.

Regardless of the great difficulties and the boring forecasts, the Spaniard does not give up. This is supported by the great club Udinese, which, upon completion of the contract in 2025, allowed its citizens to use the club infrastructure for rehabilitation.

Deulofeu, a graduate of Barcelona's famous La Masia academy, has played for Everton, Seville, Watford and other clubs during his career. The main motivation for turning over is the diet, so that his children get their food, as well as the number of patients in Udinese.

Although the future will become unimportant, Deulofeu’s struggle for his career is already a remarkable story of resilience. His return to the field will become one of the biggest comebacks in current football.
