The President of the UAF gave his comment to Italian journalists.
UAF President Andriy Shevchenko, in an interview with Il Messaggero, spoke about how Ukrainians are experiencing the war with Russia and how it is affecting local football.
Shevchenko noted that the situation is even more difficult, but in Ukraine it is still possible to hold fights.
" Our clubs and teams take part in local and international tournaments. For us, football is not just a sport, it is a symbol of hope and resilience. The UAF is working as hard as it can to encourage players, coaches and fans, guaranteeing that matches will be held at the same time..
The war deeply affected the Ukrainian homeland. I hurt myself a lot. The loss of our nation, both hundreds of human lives, and the destruction of places and villages is even more painful. The tragedy unites us with sorrow, but also strengthens our resolve in the fight for a peaceful and free future Ukraine. Every Ukrainian recognizes these expenses, and the stench motivates us to collapse in advance,” he said.
Guess what, earlier the President of the UAF welcomed Ukrainians from the New Rock.
