Frontline attacker of the Dutch national team Steven Bergwijn officially transferred from Amsterdam Ajax to Saudi Arabian Al-Ittihad.
The head coach of the Dutch national team, Ronald Koeman, commented on this transfer of his coach, being dissatisfied with his decisions.
“As you are 26, the most important ambition for you may be of a sporting nature, not financial. You could just lose it in Ajax, but that’s not true?
I am 100% sure that Ajax is also good to pay. I wouldn’t have made such a decision in my life,” said Ronald Koeman.
It is significant that Steven Bergwijn signed a contract with Al-Ittihad until the summer of 2027, and Ajax earned close to 21 million euros from his sale.
