Dynamo head coach Oleksandr Shovkovskiy spoke to journalists at the press conference before the Champions League qualifying play-off round match against RB Salzburg.

“We would like to go to the extent of what Volodymyr Brazhko solemnly said: we were all nervous due to the mass shelling in Ukraine. What we are experiencing in the region over the remaining ten years and two and a half years of large-scale invasion by Russia puts a strain on our thoughts and almost. We are not reinforcing Ukraine and our people, although we are behind the cordon. It’s not easy at all, and God forbid that no one else experiences anything like this.

I also want to express my gratitude to our supporters and supporters for their work, for those who give us the opportunity to play football and give us extremely necessary positive emotions. It’s not easy, but we miraculously understand that it’s much more complex.

We analyzed the result of the first match with a cool head, played the songs of the principles and decided to work on everything in front of us in order to discover the mystery that stands in front of us.

You may have already noticed that Vitaliy Buyalsky is not with us - unfortunately, even after the match with Karpaty he felt bad, his temperature rose. In order not to infect the team, you lost your wine in Ukraine and through illness did not reach the team in Lyublina during preparation for the first game. Plus daily Volodymyr Shepelev and Maxim Dyachuk, who underwent the operation. Before the speech, three years have already passed, today the bandage has already been taken off, and now we are returning to our base near Kiev. All other gravels are ready to enter the field either from the first ones or as replacements in order to work on all of them in order to achieve results.

You may understand one thing: as I have already said, we are in no way reinforcing ourselves to the Ukrainian people. The situation is extremely difficult: many places and villages have been left without electricity, and critical infrastructure has been hit. In some places, the anxiety lasts for 15-16 years, and in the front-line territories it continues even more steadily. Many of our fans are football fans, they support Dynamo and other clubs, so we can do everything we can to give them at least a few positive emotions, and this is extremely important for them. Therefore, on our side, we all work hard so that within the framework of the principles and rules of fair play we can act wisely and turn the outcome of the two to our advantage, regardless of how unpleasant the result of the first game will be for us.

We are determined to show that no matter what the circumstances, no matter what the situation, no matter what happens, we will continue to work until the end and will strive to create the best ones we can. We, Ukrainians, will never give up, no matter how difficult the situation was.. I think this one is important to everyone. This was how it was when our athletes competed at the Olympic Games, and I am confident that this will be the case forever,” said Shovkovsky.
