Egypt national team forward Refaat died during the match

The 31-year-old football player suffered a heart attack.

Egyptian Football striker Ahmed Refaat died after a heart attack during the match of the World Cup. This is reported by the press service of the Egyptian Football Association.

“I am glad to the directors of the Egyptian Football Association to ask the almighty God to cover Refaat with his great mercy and bring patience and quiet to his family and loved ones.

“We depend on God, and we will return to the next day,” says the statement of the Egyptian Football Association.

31-year-old Refaat felt weakness during the championship match against Egypt against Al-Ittihad (0:0), which took place on the 11th February. Two weeks before the end of the match, Ahmed fell onto the lawn, tired. From that time on, he stayed with a coma.

During his career, Refaat played in 211 matches, scoring 46 goals and providing 40 assists. Also in this round of matches, the team from Egypt scored two goals and provided one assist.
