And so there is an anti-record for the brilliant Portuguese.

Portugal national team striker Cristiano Ronaldo missed a penalty in the Euro 2024 playoff match against Slovenia.

The forward did not score a 11-meter penalty in the additional hour of the 1/8 final.

According to the Mister Chip account, Ronaldo became the first player in history to win two career penalties in the finals of a Euro tournament.

Before the game against Slovenia (goalkeeper Jan Oblak’s save), Ronaldo also failed to score at Euro 2016 against Austria (hit the post).

Varto points out that Ronaldo converted his shot in the post-match penalty shootout and helped Portugal make it to the quarter finals.
