The central striker of Bologna Joshua Zirkze has rejected the possibility of helping the Netherlands team for Euro 2024, reports the official page of OnsOranje on Twitter/X.
Due to injuries to retired players Ten Koepmeiners and Frenkie de Jong, Ronald Koeman's team was previously reduced to 24 players. At the beginning of the campaign, the national team was still removed from the title of Jan Matsen, and now before the Netherlands, Zirkze may join.
In the 2023/24 season, the 23-year-old center forward took part in 37 Bologna matches in all tournaments, scoring 12 goals and 7 assists. At Euro 2024 you can make your debut for your national team. Joshua has 21 goals in 45 matches for the Dutch youth team.
At the group stage of the European Championship in Nimeccina, Koeman’s team will compete with Poland (16 worms), France (21 worms) and Austria (25 worms) in Quartet D.
