Ekskermanich New England Revolution Brad Friedel appointed as a leader for the directors of Besiktas for the next two campaigns, transfers the official website of the Turkish club.

According to transfermarkt, the 53-year-old American is not in work since May 2019, having lost MLS. Under his leadership, the New England Revolution played 47 matches (12-13-22, 62:88).

Now Friedel has taken a seat in one of the Turkish grandees. We will additionally assist the directors of Besiktas during the seasons 2024/25 and 2025/26.

Apparently, in the club competition the ex-goalkeeper represented Blackburn Rovers, Aston Villa, Tottenham, Columbus Crew, Galatasaray and Liverpool. Friedel played 82 matches for the US national team.

Besiktas recently announced the recognition of Giovanni van Bronckhorst as their head coach.
