The Englishman may be lost in Spain for another season.

Getafe are unlikely to permanently sign right winger Mason Greenwood, on loan from Manchester United, or may extend his stay with the club for another year, reports The Athletic.

It appears that Manchester United may be considering future proposals for the 22-year-old Englishman, as long as the year's dues will not be taken away. Greenwood's current contract with the Mancunians is insured until the end of June 2025 with an option to extend further.

Getafe is pleased with the addition of the Englishman to the team.

Throughout the current season, he took part in 32 matches in all tournaments, scoring 10 goals and 6 assists.

The representative of La Liga wants to continue Greenwood's lease, which is insured until the end of this campaign, but Getafe understands that the winger will not take his part from Liza champions in the coming season.
