Wolverhampton want to activate the option to purchase Manchester City's central manager Tommy Doyle, who is on loan until the end of July 2024, reports The Athletic.
About the plan to add the 22-year-old Englishman to the ranks of Wolves head coach Gary O'Neill. It appears that Doyle will cost the club 4.3 million pounds sterling.
“I’m sure that there will be some kind of doom here, and that we can get enough of the food flow. I know that you feel good, and that everything is right for you. We have captured something new, so I don’t see any reason why things could go wrong,” said the Kermanich of Wolverhampton.
The football player came to the Wolves for the sake of the deal, which ended with the transfer of Matheus Nunes to Manchester City for 53 million pounds. The transfers were not officially linked to each other, but it is understood that Doyle’s low price was part of parallel negotiations. It is also reported that the full-fledged transition of the English will include a clause for which the “locals” will deduct 50% of the profit from any potential upcoming sale.
Assessing Doyle's form this season, O'Neill said he was keen to show his strengths at times, especially if the team dominated the ball..
“Juan Gomez and Mario Lemina are having a fantastic season, so it’s a fact that Tommy is so smart about it, it’s best, if they’ve been offended like that, to talk about those who performed well,” the specialist says..
During this campaign, Doyle took part in 29 Wolverhampton matches in all tournaments, scoring one goal.
