Great waste for the football world.

Legendary of the Italian and Swedish national championship of the 50s - 60s Kurt Gamrin died at age 89. This is reported on the website of the Swedish Football Association.

" Gamrin played an important role in the World Championship won by the Swedes in 1958. Vin is the legend of AIC and Fiorentini. Our thoughts extend to Kurt’s family and friends,” according to the SFS statement.

Kurt Gamrin was born on November 19, 1934 near Stockholm. During his career he played for the Swedish AK and Stockholm, as well as the Italian Juventus, Padova, Fiorentina, Milan and Napoli.



He is among the top ten Italian goal scorers in history, scoring 190 goals in 400 matches. Together with Gabriel Batista, he is Fiorentini's highest scorer in the history of the Florentine club (they scored 203 goals in all tournaments).

Vice-champion of the world in 1958 rock at the warehouse of the Swedish national team, giving up the final of the Brazilian national team with Pele at the warehouse (2:5), becoming the remaining living participant in the final match of that tournament.
