President Polissia commented on the first half of the UPL season for his team.

Zhytomyr Polissya debuted in the current season on the level of the Ukrainian Premier League and was immediately placed among the contenders for the championship title.

During the winter break, Vovki President Gennady Butkevich shared his goals for the first part of the season with his team.

“I’m sorry, I want to thank the gravers and the coaching staff for being able to reach the high bar that I set. After spending points, Polissya is in 5th position in the UPL. I want this fact to motivate the team even more, and even better.

I won’t see anyone in private, but all the football that we had, made Poliss the strongest and showed itself. I rate the job on the transfer market as successful. It was difficult. It took a long time for young and promising guys from Africa to have their visas denied. Also, new Vikonians joined us before us during the championship.

I would like to point out that, despite all the technical difficulties, we were able to successfully strengthen the team during the transition from the First League to the UPL.

Polissia is not going to rely on the transfer market for this winter window. We are planning to strengthen the team, together with Yuri Kalitvintsev we are considering different roles for the gravitationalists. Whose direct robot is now actively bothering.

I will not praise, I will be respected Oleksandr Pikhalonok and Oleksiy Gutsulyak. Ale Dnipro-1 is not on sale. We respect the decision of Dnipro-1, but Polissya will not stand at the next check for the decision. We hope we can find other bright football players to reach our goal.

At the beginning of the season, I set a goal for the team to gain a foothold in the first five years, and over the years we realized that this goal is achievable. That’s why we don’t want to stand up to anyone and will try to fight for the prize of the UPL.

We are also very pleased with the team’s performance in the Ukrainian Cup and with its historical achievements – reaching the semifinals. In this tournament our goal is to win the trophy. The team demonstrates step-by-step and singing growth. So we can grow and get better. Polissia will compete for the UPL and Ukrainian Cup prizes.

In my opinion, Yuriy Kalitvintsev is the greatest UPL coach right now. We have mutual understanding and shared views on the development of the team. I am also impressed as a person. I respect that Polissya was incredibly kind to the coaching staff. Yuriy Mikolayovich has my utmost trust and knows about this. It’s up to your assistants to recklessly finish their work.

I deserve the fierce competition in the championship. With this achievement, Polissya become even more valuable.

All superniks deserve honor. For example, if we take Veres, the team will be able to collect points from the championship leaders - Shakhtarya and Polissya during important hours. I am closely in touch with Ivan Nadya and I appreciate how much he contributes to the club and overcomes all difficulties. This is a great shout.

In the first four rounds, Poliss took away three red cards. Our team had similar gains in the matches against Dynamo and Shakhtar.

What’s less impressive is the behavior of Yuriy Kalitvintsev and the Polissians, who don’t run around the field after the referee, don’t press anyone and don’t complain after the match.

There are plenty of Ukrainian football players who are playing brightly in Europe, the recent Barcelona-Girona match confirmed this. I respect you, our referees can also show themselves well.

We are ready to succeed, together with other leaders of the clubs, before initiating the creation of a bonus fund, which will help brighten the minds of referees, as well as finance the enhancement of their qualifications.

Before the stadium, then in the first day, all our efforts are focused on helping our defenders. With the joint efforts of ATB, BGV and the BGV Charity fund, from the beginning of a large-scale invasion, 2 billion hryvnias were directly allocated to support the ZSU, and this process is ongoing.

100% of the sports infrastructure of Zhytomyr, we will continue to assist in this directly. It was critically important to have the necessary structures in place at the central stadium for clear television broadcasts. Additional lighting was also installed in the houses and several new light bulbs were installed. The field heating system has been painted. You could see the result - a miracle on the lawn in Zhytomyr at the last match of this fate. We also carried out cosmetic repairs to the internal areas.
