Jose Mourinho shared his thoughts on the match against Sassuolo at the pre-match press conference.

" Why do I need sports like tennis, because it takes courage and character to be there until the end, and if you lose, you can’t look around to call someone else.

I won’t close my eyes, I told my colleagues that if we want more, we can leave the comfort zone. I want more adrenaline. A lot of coaches urge their teams to play kindly without any bias, and I told the guys not to be so superficial.

Sassuolo is a good team, they have a good coach, and they only play one game a week. Honestly speaking, I’m worried about the referee. We have three referees, and I don’t think we have the emotional fortitude to compete on such a level. It's not just Sassuolo - Roma, we are ahead of the Champions League by three points, and this is an even important match for us. I will not relax for the referee or the VAR team, with whom we were often not spared.

I applaud Berardi, who is a fantastic guy, I love him, but he needs to show more respect for his superniks. He knows other gravers and hits them with the same cards, so I love and hate him.

This kind of behavior on the field does not suit me, and I would no longer want to deal with any of my graves..

I believe that tomorrow, if Marcenaro is refereeing, Gianluca Mancini will take away the yellow card after 10 minutes against Berardi and will be disqualified for the match with Fiorentina.

The situation is complicated. If we can charge anyone, it will be even more positive for us, but if it is impossible, it is not impossible, and we must be satisfied with what we can do.”.

Roma plays against Sassuolo 3rd at 19:00.
