Football. ua tells you about how we go through the playoffs for qualifying matches for the 2024 European Championship.

It is already traditional for the selection campaign for the European Championship to take place in two stages - the group stage, which will include 20 participants in the final part of the tournament, as well as the playoffs, which will include three more athletes vouchers for Euro.

Participants in the playoffs for the Euro 2024 selection At the moment, 11 teams were guaranteed participation in the playoffs: Georgia, Greece, Kazakhstan and Luxembourg on route C, Israel and Bosnia and Herzegovina on route B, Ukraine, Finland and Iceland - route B or A,.

As a matter of fact, one participant is missing, who will be selected by Croatia or Wales - their remaining matches of the group stage of the selection will be held today, 21 November.

At this time, the playoff bracket looks like this:.

Route C: Georgia (1) – Luxembourg (4), Greece (2) – Kazakhstan (3) Route B: Israel (1) – Ukraine/Iceland (4), Bosnia and Herzegovina (2) – Finland/Ukraine (3). The fourth team will be one of the teams from Division B, which is due to the additional draw in which Ukraine, Finland and Iceland will take part.

The format of the playoffs It is clear that the best teams will play in the playoffs, but they could not make it to the European Championship directly. Who has the right to play in the playoffs determines the rating of the teams in the last edition of the National League.

In the playoffs, the place was guaranteed by Georgia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, who won their groups against Liza nation.

If one or a number of winners of the National League groups qualified for the Euro through a group selection, then in the playoffs their current selections will be changed based on the rating of that same group.

For example, Scotland qualified for Euro 2024, which gave them a ticket to the playoffs of Finland, which comes after the ranking in Division B.

One nuance from Division A, where 13 teams directly qualified for the Euro, this was complemented by the shortest team from Division D – Estonia.

Guess what, the European Championship at Nimechchina will be held from 14 June to 14 June 2024. The matches will take place in ten German locations.
