The Berlin Union on its official website voted for the appointment of head coach Urs Fischer.

The decision to terminate the contract was praised for the mutual benefit of the 57-year-old Swiss and club president Dirk Zingler.

In its first season, Fischer Lives Union played in the Bundesliga, after which the team made its debut in all three European Cup tournaments – Conference League, European League and Champions League.

Under his leadership, Union played 224 matches, with 95 wins, 71 defeats and 58 draws..

However, the start of this season turned out to be disastrous - Fischer’s team drew only once in 13 losses in the remaining 14 matches.

After 11 rounds, Union sits in the remaining place in the Bundeslizi and in the fourth place in the Champions League group. Also, the team from Berlin has already been eliminated from the German Cup.
