The head coach of the Ukrainian youth team Unaya Melgosa commented on the victory of his players in the Euro 2025 selection match against England (3:2).

“It’s great that we overcame, but it’s even better that we won, scoring in the last game. That's why they were satisfied, because they rejected it - part of the process. So now we are quiet, but tomorrow we will think about the upcoming fights.

It is very important throughout the entire match to maintain the same level of energy that we have. Still, we played against the champions of the last Euro, and at those moments in the other half we felt the strength of our opponents. Ale I’m sure that our team fought, fought again, and got stuck in the world.

This is the kind of sport in which such speeches are trashed over and over again. This does not mean that we will have to worry about it all the time - we will be able to move on the remaining lines - we just need to get better at it further and further. It’s also true that if you implement tactics on the field imperfectly, and if you don’t put your whole heart into it, then such moments will be simply impossible.
