Bordeaux on their official website announced the recognition of the new head coach, who became the great leader of Liverpool and the Spanish national team Albert Riera.
The contract with the 41-year-old Spaniard is insured until the summer of 2025.
In his new position, Riera replaced David Guyon, who was released for the unsatisfactory results of the past year.
Before that, he worked as an assistant at Galatasaray, after which he defeated the Slovenian clubs – Olimpia and Celje.
After ten rounds of Bordeaux, in which the Ukrainian champion Dmytro Ignatenko plays, with 11 points he is in 13th place in the League 2 standings.
