Yesterday, April 21, the matches of the opening round of the group stage of the Europa League took place, with the help of UEFA selecting candidates for the title of the tournament's top player of the year.

Four players are vying for the title:.

- Rennes manager Adrian Truffer - one goal, two rebounds and a total loss in the match against Maccabi Haifa (3:0);

- Bayer's winger Amin Adli - one goal, five chances, one assist for Team Geken (4:0);

- Sparti senior Ladislav Krejci - two goals scored, 9 turnovers and 90% accurate passes for the team against Aris (3:2);

- Ajax forward Carlos Forbes - one goal, one creation and one assist in the match with Marseille (3:3).

UEFA also named the names of the nominees for the title of the author of the most beautiful goal of the first gaming season at Liza Europe.

The candidates for the title are: LASK senior manager Florian Flecker, winger Bayer Adli, Rennes senior manager Ludovic Blas and AEK defender Jibril Sidibe.
