In the match of the fifth round of the qualifying stage of Euro-2022 futsal, the Ukrainian national team defeated Denmark again with a score of 8: 2. The match was held at the Zaporizhzhya Sports Palace Yunost.
The second game against the Danes in two days began with almost the same scenario as yesterday, in which the team of Alexander Kosenko beat the guests with a score of 6: 2. In the fifth minute, the teams exchanged goals - the guests responded with a goal scored by James Goddard to Igor Korsun's exact shot.. Five minutes later the situation repeated itself and again the “blue-yellows” scored with the first efforts of Nikolai Mikityuk, to which the Danes responded with a goal by Emil Scott-Rasmussen.
However, the Ukrainians were able to leave for the break with a comfortable advantage - before the final siren of the first half, Serhiy Malyshko, Daniil Abakshin and Yaroslav Lebed were able to sign at the Danes' goal, who secured the score 5: 2 in favor of the hosts.
In the second half, the game calmed down and there were fewer chances, but this did not prevent the Ukrainians from bringing the score to a devastating one.. A double was scored by Vladimir Razuvanov and Lebed, who scored his second goal.
Thus, the Ukrainian national team won and scored nine points, ranking second in group 1, six points behind the leading Croatia.. Denmark and Albania scored three points each.
Note that the match of the sixth round of selection Ukraine - Albania was canceled and its fate will be decided by UEFA representatives.
