Brazilian club claims to have paid off all striker's debts.
Cruzeiro has paid off a debt to Zorya for striker Willian Gomez in the amount of 1.384 million euros, the official website of the Brazilian club said.. The club also paid about 49 thousand euros in a fine to FIFA.
Cruzeiro also paid off his debts for the transfer of Ramon Abil and to the coaching staff of Paulo Bento. The club is now hoping that FIFA will remove the transfer ban from him.
Now one of the largest clubs in Brazil is in the penultimate place in the second division of the championship. Cruzeiro scored only 13 points in 16 games.
The club hopes to rectify the situation not only by inviting new players, but also by the recent appointment of Luis Felipe Scolari.
