The day after the Italian Prime Minister allowed group teams to hold group training sessions, and a day after the Ministry of Sports and the Italian Football Federation approved the protocol for the resumption of the season, a new problem arose on the Apennines, reports Gazzetta dello Sport.

Serie A management unexpectedly demanded changes to season resume protocol. In addition to minor clarifications, the main problem seems to be the point according to which, when an infected footballer is detected, the whole team is sent to quarantine for two weeks, not just the player.

According to the bosses of the league, if you remove entire teams for two weeks from the competition (despite the fact that it is planned to conduct two rounds per week), then the championship will not end not only until August 2 (as planned) but may not end at all.

The Italian Football Union, which also requires a clear definition of the responsibility and under what circumstances those who will cause possible infection of the players, supported Serie A.

Earlier it was reported that on Saturday, May 16, in Parma, two players infected with coronavirus were detected.
