Arsenal of London has agreed with the players to reduce salaries by 12.5% \u200b\u200bfor one year due to the difficult financial situation the club got into because of the coronavirus pandemic and the absence of the Champions League in Emirates for several years.

Almost all the players went towards the club, however, three of them refused to reduce their salaries.. As it later became known, one of these players was Mesut Ozil, Arsenal's highest paid player (350 thousand pounds per week).

The football agent Erkut Sogut, representing the interests of the German midfielder, confirmed this information, and also criticized the head coach of the “Gunners” Mikel Artet for the fact that he influenced the decision of most players with his authority.

" It’s not working like that, because everyone has their own contract and separate negotiations must be conducted with each "

“The club may ask the head coach to agree with the players, and this may affect some of them, especially younger football players or those who are afraid of the consequences in personal relationships if he disagrees on something”.

" Some players will not be sincere in their response to the club’s offer if they are under pressure, "
