The judges' committee worries about the health of referees working on the video replay system.

Marcello Nikki, President of the Italian Arbitrators Committee, said that if Serie A is resumed in the near future, all matches can be played without using VAR technology.

" Today VAR is in compact vans. VAR specialists are next to each other, and we don’t know if they can be carriers of any infections..

There is a risk that there will be no safe distances "

Nikki made clear that the final decisions are made by Serie A, but stressed that the Committee of Arbitrators is not ready to resume work.

" Referees worry about seeing their families again and this is the most important thing. I hope that VAR will still be and we will find alternative solutions "
