Central defender Federico Fernandez signed a new contract with Newcastle, designed until the summer of 2021, the club’s official website.
The 31-year-old football player moved to Newcastle in the summer of 2018 from Swansea. In the current campaign, he played in 25 games for the “forty”, noting goals in the gates of West Ham and Southampton.
Recently, contracts with Newcastle were extended by goalkeeper Martin Dubravka, as well as midfielders Jonjo Shelvey and Matt Ritchie.
Newcastle after 29 rounds of the Premier League is in 13th place with 35 points. In the next round, the magpies will play with Sheffield United on March 14.
