Atletico Paranaense filed a lawsuit against the International Football Federation against his former footballer, now defending the colors of Donetsk Shakhtar, Marcos Antonio.
According to ESPN, the Brazilian club filed a claim against a 19-year-old midfielder regarding a possible breach of contract, in connection with which the player had to pay 30 million euros.
The case began in 2018 when Marcos Antonio left Atletico and moved to Portuguese Estoril.. The footballer’s agents claimed that their client did not sign a professional contract with the club from Curitibi, so he had every right to transfer to other teams.
FIFA, in turn, took the side of Marcos Antonio and rejected the lawsuit of Atletico Paranaense, believing that the Brazilian did not violate any rules when he became Estoril's player at the age of 18.
Recall, the Brazilian midfielder moved to Donetsk Shakhtar in February 2019, signing a contract for five seasons.
