Africa announced the composition of qualifying groups at the World Cup 2022

40 teams will be divided into ten quartets.

African Football Confederation (AFC) held a draw for the qualifying groups for the 2022 World Cup to be held in Qatar.

40 teams will take part in the qualifying tournament. A total of 120 matches will be played - six rounds in each group.
