Benfica and Dortmund Borussia announced the imminent transfer of midfielder Julian Weigl to the Portuguese club.
To complete the transaction, Juliana can only successfully pass a medical examination in Lisbon.
In the event of a successful medical examination, Weigl will become a Benfica player for 20 million euros.
Commenting on the transfer, sports director of “bumblebees” Michael Tsork noted that the club agreed to Weigl’s request.
Julian played for Borussia since 2015. He played 171 matches and scored four goals for Dortmund.
Benfica is also interested in the transfer of another German - the central defender of Freiburg Robin Koch.
Recall that it is the “eagles” who are Shakhtar’s rivals in the 1/16 finals of the Europa League. Matches will take place on February 20 and 27, the first match will be held in Kharkov.
