Chelsea plans to strengthen the line of defense in January and is considering returning Bournemouth quarterback Nathan Ake, reports The Telegraph.
Head coach Frank Lampard should assess the condition of Antonio Rudiger in the near future and decide on the return of Ake. The Blue have the right to redeem the Dutch centerback for 40 million pounds.
Bournemouth acquired Ake from Chelsea in 2017 for ? 20m. This season, the 24-year-old player has had 16 fights in the Cherry T-shirt, scoring one goal and one assist.
Earlier it was reported that Chelsea will receive 150 million pounds for winter transfers.
