In the final match of the Latvian Cup, FC Riga, which is headed by Ukrainian expert Viktor Skrypnyk, beat Ventspils in a penalty shootout (game time of the match ended with the score 0: 0).

The Latvian Cup became the first trophy won by the former head coach of Werder with FC Riga, but the team could soon take a golden double:
