This weekend in Kiev on the fields of the training base of the Football Federation of Ukraine on the initiative of the FFU and under the auspices of the FFU Children's Football Academy the final games in the groups of the “Festival of Champions” took place among the teams born in 2010-2011.

The tournament was held in three stages - October 6, 13 and October 20. Its uniqueness lies in the fact that 10 teams from Kiev and the region (Junior Stars, FC Kiev, Nika, Sports School Athlete, Troeschina, Favorite, Olympic, Brovary, Barca, FFU Academy) played each other, determining the winner.

More precisely, as the FFU First Vice-President Vadim Kostyuchenko noted in his welcome speech to the young football players, all the participating teams became the winners.. Thus, the Football Federation of Ukraine applies a new philosophy, introducing for young football players a form of competition in which the result is not the main goal..

"Our dear young players! I welcome you on the fields of the NTK to them. Bannikova. Greetings to you from the head coach of our national team, Andrey Shevchenko. I wish your skill to grow, and on these fields you have already played in youth, then in youth and came to the national team of Ukraine. I'm sure you can do it. Such children's football festivals are future champions tournaments..

I wish you great success and congratulations on the occasion of football ".

Also, young football players were congratulated, handing them diplomas, medals and sports equipment, coach of the Ukrainian national team veterans Anatoliy Demyanenko and coach of the Ukrainian junior national team U-19 Sergey Popov, who also received congratulations from the fans and the Football Federation of Ukraine on the release of his players to the elite round European Championship 2019.
