Earlier, the former head coach of the Slovak national team, Jan Kozak, said that he had left the team because of the behavior of the players - seven players went to rest in a nightclub after losing to the Czechs.

Among them was Newcastle goalkeeper Martin Dubravka.

"The events that occurred after the match with the Czech Republic are currently being reviewed throughout Slovakia. I understand that we committed a disciplinary violation, not appearing at the hotel, in our rooms at the right time, but everything else was within the framework of the norm ", - the official website of the Slovak Football Union quotes Dubravka.

"I made a mistake that I realize, and it’s obvious to me that I will bear the consequences. But I want to note that nothing of what happened was done directly against Jan Kozak ".

"We tried to apologize to the coach, to justify himself, but he did not accept our excuse. The fact that he decided to retire was very unexpected, we had a very good relationship ".

"What happened is no longer change. This is a great lesson for us in the future.. Once again I apologize to my teammates and fans, "added Dubravka.
