Gustavo Blanco-Leshchuk last summer moved from Donetsk Shakhtar to Malaga, for which he already managed to play in five games Segunda.
In conversation with the correspondent of AS, Blanco-Leshchuk remembered about Ukraine and the national team, for which can be played.
- I moved to Ukraine from Sweden and began to speak for the Lviv Carpathians. In 10 months I moved to Shakhtar and everything became much better for me. I thank Paulo Fonseca for trusting me. I scored Celte's goal in my first game in the Europa League.
"Your name is Leschuk, is it Ukrainian roots?".
- Yes, my mother's family line goes from there. My mother traveled around Ukraine when I was playing there. She tried to find information about our pedigree, but she did not succeed.
- What did you learn from the Ukrainians?.
- Some words. Some Russian, Russian and Ukrainian are different languages.
- Given that your roots come from Ukraine, you could be in favor of the national team of this country?.
- Yes. They offered me to play for the national team of Ukraine, and I can still do it. I have an opportunity. I do not yet have a Ukrainian passport, but I can get it.
- If it works out, will we see you at the Euro as part of Ukraine?.
- Yes Yes. It can happen, yes.
"Do you have to learn the language?".
- Of course. I already know him well enough. The Ukrainian team has a good team.
