Alberto Gilardino recently started coaching courses, but this season he also wanted to play football.

The player was offered short-term contracts by clubs from Serie C, however the 36-year-old forward rejected them and decided to hang the boots on the nail.

For the whole career Gilardino scored 188 goals in Serie A. He defended the colors of clubs such as Piacenza, Verona, Parma, Milan, Fiorentina, Genoa, Bologna, Palermo, Empoli, Pescara and Spice.

Also, the player tried his hand at the Chinese Championships, where he defended the colors of Guangzhou Evergren.

From 2004 to 2013, he was called to the national team of Italy, for which he held 56 matches and scored 19 goals.
