Botev signed a contract with the Bulgarian striker Valery Bozhinov, the official website of the club.

To the new club, the 32-year-old striker joined as a free agent, and the agreement is calculated until the end of the current season.

Bozhinov began his professional career in Lecce, after which he played for Fiorentina, Juventus, Manchester City, Parma, Lisbon Sporting, Verona, Vicenza, Levski, Ternanu, Partizan, Meizhou Haka, Lausanne and Rijeka.

He joined the latter in February of this year, but took part in only two matches, in which he gave one assists.

After seven rounds, Botev scored seven points and is ranked 11th in the championship standings of Bulgaria.
