At the end of June, our compatriot Andrei Lunin was sold for a lot of money Lugansk Zarey in Madrid Real Madrid. All Ukrainians were happy for Andrei and hoped that eventually he would become "creamy" for the second Casillas. On the eve of Lunin was given by Real in a one-year lease to a modest Leganes and some took this transition very negatively. Allegedly Lunin is no longer needed by Real and now he does not shake anything good. These judgments are erroneous. And that's why.

Let's recall the pre-season of Real. Lunin went on to replace in three matches, "Blancos" out of four, and at post-match press conferences, the head coach of Real Madrid Hohen Lopetega repeatedly stated that he was pleased with his goalkeepers and always mentioned the name of the Ukrainian. Was the motive of the coach disingenuous? Of course not. Moreover, for the allotted time Lunin showed himself very well (especially in the match against Juventus) and did not miss a single goal. At that time the issue of his rent was not at all - it was obvious that in the new season, Andrew will be the second Real Madrid goalkeeper. Not the third (Kiko Casilla did not get a practice game after two goals conceded in one half from Manchester United), namely the second.

The situation radically changed when Real Madrid signed one of the best goalkeepers of recent years - Thibaut Courtois. Can a 19-year-old goalkeeper without the proper experience at the highest level compete with the best goalkeeper of the 2018 World Cup or three-time winner of the Champions League? To remain the second goalkeeper and get practice in the King Cup matches is one thing, but being in the team third goalkeeper is quite another. How many do you think matches will be played this season by Kiko Casilla, who will be left the third gate guard? Naturally, not a single one.

The same fate would await Andrei if he were left in the team. His transfer to Leganes says that he really counts on him at the club. The coaches were convinced that Andrei was a talented football player and decided not to leave him behind the backs of Keiror Navas and Thibaut Courtois. For this, there is Kiko Casilla, and Andrei has another way. The mentors came to the conclusion that already now Andrew must play in the Team Examples, and not sit on the bench in Real Madrid and just watch the football from the side.

So what does Andrei shine in Leganes and with whom he has to compete in the new team? Now the first number of "Pepineros" is the 34-year-old goalkeeper Ivan Cuellar, who was the main last season. And in the summer, the leadership of the club flared up with the veteran a real conflict. Ivan tried to take care of his future and asked the club to extend his contract until the summer of 2020, but he was denied.

And this is in view of the fact that Cuellar broke a two-year contract with Sporting a year ago and moved to Leganes with a wage cut. And do not think that Lunin will now have to radically change the situation. Leganes is 20 minutes from Madrid, so this move will pass for Andrey painlessly. In the summer, the coaching changed the team - Asier Garitano served Leganes with faith and truth for five years and finally went on promotion, and in his place came Mauricio Pellegrino.

And I really want to see Andrei Lunin become part of Leganes, for the construction of which a few months ago took Mauricio Pellegrino. For the Ukrainian it is now very important to show oneself and a year later to return to Real Madrid as a strong player who has played at a good level and is accustomed to a new culture.

Oh yeah, Andrew's debut already this weekend do not wait - "creamy" is expected to forbid the player to play against himself.
