Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is preparing to sell the club's shares, but it is not clear yet, all or only part.
Roman Abramovich hired New York Bank Raine Group to assess the value of the club, reports The Sunday Times. The bank estimated Chelsea's 2 billion pounds.
Chelsea appealed to these bankers, because in 2015 they helped Man City sell a 13% stake in the club for 265 million pounds..
It is not yet clear whether they will be looking for a new owner's club or will only sell part of the shares.
Abramovich bought Chelsea in 2003 for 140 million pounds. Since then, the "blue" have won five of their six championships, and in 2012 were the first winner of the Champions League from London.
