Ukrainian goalkeeper Real Madrid Lunin can get the first official trophy in the new club.

Today, August 15, will be a duel for the UEFA Super Cup, which will bring together the winner of the Champions League Real Madrid and the best team of the League of Europe Atletico.

The official website of the FFU recalls that Real Madrid goalkeeper Andrei Lunin can become the fourth Ukrainian-holder of the UEFA Super Cup for the time of Ukraine's independence.

In the days of Ukraine's independence, three Ukrainians became holders of the UEFA Super Cup.

So, in 1995, Andrei Demchenko in the Ajax Amsterdam beat Zaragoza (1: 1 and 4: 0). In 2003, Milan's leader Andriy Shevchenko scored the only goal in the match against Porto (1-0), and five years later Anatoly Tymoschuk led Zenit to victory in the match against Manchester United (2-1).

Note that for the victory in the UEFA Super Cup Lunin does not have to appear on the football field.
