The police was able to prosecute the fan who injured the side referee of the Sturm-AEK match.

On the eve of the 3rd round of the League of Europe, Sturm lost the home to the Cyprus AEK with a score of 0: 2.

At the 78th minute of the match a very unpleasant incident happened - one of the fans of the hosts threw a bottle from the stands, which hit the linesman and broke the arbiter's head.

Abundant bleeding was stopped only by doctors, and the hooligan hurried to escape from the scene, lost in the crowd.

As informs Goal, the police with the help of cameras identified and detained the perpetrator of the incident, who will now be punished for his deed.

Sanctions will also be applied to the Austrian club and to the stadium. They are expected to be fined and disqualified respectively.

Note that the injured lineman Fredrik Kluver failed to continue his work, so his role before the final whistle served the fourth referee.
