In the first match of the qualification of the Champions League Dynamo produced a good result, but the game was not pleased.
After the successful start of the season (four wins in four games) in the first match of the third round of the Champions League qualification against Slavia, fans of Dynamo expected the continuation of this series. As an ideal - I would like to see a bright game in the performance of the wards Alexander Khatskevich and the result, which would allow in the return match in Kiev not to worry about the ticket to the round of the playoffs.
And the beginning of the match turned out to be promising: already in the third minute Besedin closed the transfer from the right flank, but the goalkeeper instinctively moved the threat. And then for a while Dynamo completely captured the middle of the field, confidently controlled the course of the match and almost did not allow the opponent to establish counterplay.
What happened then? And then the people of Kiev slowed down. On the one hand, this could be explained by the traditional tactics adopted in two-round matches, the first of which takes place on the road: play carefully and at least not lose on someone else's field. But this in no way explains the large number of mistakes that all football players of the Super Cup winner of Ukraine suddenly started to perform (heat and stuffiness? Excitement because of the status of the match?). And the saddest thing is that these mistakes happened not only in the lead (as was the case during the two victories over Shakhtar, and in the won confrontations between Vorskla and FC Lviv), but also in defense. Fortunately, the Czechs could not take advantage of any of them until the last seconds of the match.
Sensing that both against Dynamo, in spite of the fact that the people of Kiev easily understood the control match with the champion of the Czech Republic - Victoria, you can play, the vice-champion of the Czech Republic - Slavia - began to demonstrate what the Kyivans warned on the eve of the match: power and speed game, standards ... However, until the really dangerous moments, the case almost did not reach, but this was not so much the merit of Dynamo, as not enough high-grade performers of the Prague team. It becomes a bit alarming when you think that the rivals will be much more skillful and the mistakes may not forgive ... And then it seemed that the overall trend of Dynamo matches in the season-2018/2019 remained in all its glory and completeness: without stopping the fight (even if mistaken , but not lowering his hands!) for a minute, the Kyivans waited and eventually waited for the error of the opponent, which eventually became decisive. The first bell sounded when the goalkeeper of Slavia almost played in the style of Pyatov, who had already taught Dynamo to give gifts: Kolarzh under the pressure of Besedin almost gave the ball to the striker, but still kept the situation under control. And then in the last desyatiminutke, the Kievites took advantage of the inconsistency of the opponent's actions in the free-kick, Verbich ran tete-a-tet with the goalkeeper and sent the ball into the net.
It remained to hold out very little, but Slavia managed to do something that nobody has managed to do this season - to score and not lose. From the penalty spot, on the 5th compensated minute, but still snap Dynamo's win ... Impressions from the result - quite acceptable, from the game of Kiev - ambiguous. Is it offensive? Of course! Tragedy? In no case! For all European Cup rules, an effective draw on the way gives advantages to the host of the return match. That's just this advantage, you still have to use it wisely.
Rely on friendliness Fortune and mistakes of the opponent - a dubious strategy. As well as mistaken, hoping for the indulgence of an opponent. You can be sure that the draw conclusions from Prague will be made, and we can hope that the consequences of these conclusions Dynamo fans will see in the return match at the NSC Olympic.
