Former mentor Munich has received a prestigious award.
According to the results of a traditional poll by the kicker magazine, Jupp Heinkes became the coach of Germany in 2018 in Germany. Ex-coach of Bavaria scored 91 votes, second place was taken by Domenico Tedesco (89), and the third by Niko Kovacs (77). Jupp Heinkes won this vote for the fourth time (1981, 1986, 2013, 2018).
"It is remarkable that in our times, when so many young trainers work, the age of the expert became the winner of the voting," said Uli Henness, President of Bavaria.
"Jupp Heinkes fully deserved this recognition. He took the club in a difficult situation, turned everything over and brought the case to the end ".
Last season, Heinckes succeeded at the helm of Bavaria, Carlo Ancelotti, and led Recordmaster to victory in the Bundesliga.
