Calculation of the coefficient The coefficient is the sum of the average for the current season (the total number of points scored is divided by the number of association clubs participating in the European Cup season) and the results of the previous four seasons. If two associations have the same ratio, a higher place will be taken by a country with a higher coefficient for the last season.

The ratings are updated after each round of club competitions under the auspices of UEFA.
