Winger Middlesbrough Adam Traore is a step away from the transition to Wolverhampton.

Wolverhampton is close to the acquisition of winger Adam Traore from Middlesbrough, reports Telegraph.

The deal is estimated at 18 million pounds, which will make the 22-year-old Spaniard the most expensive player in the history of the "wolves". At the moment, this title belongs to Ruben Neves, who last summer cost the English club at 16 million pounds.

Traore is a pupil of Barcelona, ??but having played for the first team "blaugranas" only four matches, in which he scored one goal, in the summer of 2015 he moved to Aston Villa for nine million pounds.

For "villans" Adam played only one season, after which he moved to Middlesbrough for 7.5 million pounds, plus 20 percent from the subsequent sale of the player. Thus, Aston Villa can count on 3.6 million pounds after the transfer of Traore to Wolverhampton.

Last season, Traore held for Middlesbrough 40 matches in all tournaments, which scored five goals and gave 12 assists. At the same time, Adam made 190 strokes in the Championship, which is 107 more than the nearest pursuer in this indicator.

This summer Wolverhampton has already signed Rui Patrizio, Joao Moutinho and Raul Jimenez, and also intends to acquire a central defender.
