Yesterday, the former referee, known for judging in the scandalous match of the Carpathian-Metalist, Sergei Shebek announced a letter, in which he asked to be excluded from the lists of FFU delegates and no longer considered an official person of the federation. Such a request looks rather strange given the fact that C. Shebek is not a FFU delegate since July 17, 2018.
- The commission considered the application of ex-arbitrator Sergei Shebek to exclude FFU delegates from the list, although there is nothing to consider, in the long run. The fact is that the said person did not pass the certification, which took place on July 17, 2018, and was not appointed as a delegate for the season-2018/2019. Accordingly, Shebek is not a delegate of the FFU, and it is logical that the federation can not deprive him of a position that he does not already take. And this is natural, given the numerous violations of Sergei Shebek, who have repeatedly been the subject of consideration of the Control and Disciplinary Committee and the Ethics and Fair Play Committee of the FFU.
In particular, the former referee was a figurant of the scandalously famous Olympic-Carpathian match (season 2016/2017), which was actually broken due to the negligence of the director of the match - Sergei Shebek, who did not timely inform the relevant units about the unreadiness of the Yubileyny stadium in Sumy. In addition, former referee Sergei Shebek, who has had nothing to do with refereeing for the last eight years, repeatedly made unreasonable and frankly insulting accusations against former colleagues of the arbitrators.
In the opinion of the commission that I am chairing and the FFU Arbitrators Committee, a person who systematically admitted violations in his work, a priori can not have anything in common with the official representative office of the FFU.
Ukrainian football today is going through a difficult period of self-cleaning from corruption schemes and contractual matches, which, unfortunately, have become its systemic problem and destroy it from within. The Football Federation of Ukraine, as well as the Trade Union of Ukrainian Footballers, which has been working for the past four years to prevent and prevent the organization of match-fixing matches, believe that criminal proceedings have already begun on the organization of match-fixing matches in Ukraine to help clean our football of this shameful phenomenon and get rid of dishonest functionaries , which is not the place in Ukrainian football.
The National Police already suspect that more than 300 people are involved in the organization of unfair matches, including representatives of football clubs, agents, as well as arbitrators.
But in the FFU quite easily perceive the artificial scandals, and the situation with Sergei Shebeko, no doubt, is exactly this, and we will continue to do everything necessary to clean up Ukrainian football. Such situations only confirm the correctness of the FFU bodies' decisions on the way to eradicating manipulations, provocations and "dogmas" in Ukrainian football.
