Karl Ikeme decided to end his football career because of leukemia.
Goalkeeper Wolverhampton Karl Ikeme on the recommendation of doctors completed his career - said the official website of the "wolves".
In 2017, a 32-year-old Nigerian (10 matches for the national team of Nigeria) was diagnosed with leukemia, and although in June the disease began to gradually recede, the doctors strongly recommended that Ikemu retire the player's career.
Karl came to Wolverhampton at the age of 14 and spent his whole career at the club, occasionally going on a lease. Ikeme played 207 matches for all wolves in all tournaments, and 64 spent for Accrington Stanley, Stockport, Charlton, Sheffield United, Queens Park Rangers, Leicester, Middlesbrough and Doncaster.
