Ukrainian boxer Alexander Usik became the champion of the World boxing super series.
Alexander Usik (15-0, 12 KOs) defeated Murat Gassiev in the final fight of the World Boxing Super Series (25-1, 19 KOs).
At stake in this fight were the champion belts according to the WBO and WBC versions owned by Usik, as well as belts according to the version of IBF and WBA belonging to Gassiev.
In addition, the fighters fought for the belt of The Ring and the cup of Mohammed Ali.
As a result, Usik won all the aforementioned titles, gaining a confident victory on points after total domination over Gassiev during all 12 rounds. Victory went to Alexander with a large margin unanimous decision.
