The head coach of the Croatian national team gave his comment after the final match.
Croats in the World Cup finals lost to the French with a score of 1: 2.
"I congratulate the French team with its title. We played well in the first 20 minutes, controlled the game, until an own goal came from the standard. We came back to life, dominated, but then they put a penalty in our goal, "- said Dalich after the match.
"I do not like to comment on the refereeing, but I will say one thing: in the World Cup final such penalties are not assigned. But this does not detract from the victory of France ".
"I have to congratulate my players. Perhaps it was the best match we had in the last tournaments. The control of the game was behind us, but we missed a lot. Playing against such a strong opponent as France, you should not be wrong. We are a little upset, but should be proud of what they did ".
